I came to Baan Phak on my own, not entirely sure whether I needed a lawyer or just someone to help me think things through. They were clear about both. The consultation was unhurried and the written note they sent afterwards was exactly what I needed to show my former partner as a starting point for conversation.

The documentation support was thorough and genuinely collaborative. I was shown every document before it went anywhere, which mattered to me — I am careful about what is said in my name. There were a few back-and-forth rounds on wording, which they handled patiently. The process took about three weeks in total.

When the proceedings started I was anxious about how formal everything would be. Khun Nattaya explained each step clearly in advance and wrote to me after every hearing. I always knew what had happened and what was coming next. That consistency was important to me at a difficult time.

As a foreign parent I had specific questions about how Thai courts typically treat expatriate custody cases. The consultation answered all of them clearly and without any sense of being rushed. The fee was reasonable for what was covered and I left with a clear written note of our discussion.

I had already been through a consultation elsewhere and found it discouraging — a lot of information delivered very quickly with little sense of what I should actually do next. Baan Phak was noticeably different. The pace was steadier and the note they produced at the end gave me something concrete to work with.

The documentation process was more involved than I had expected — there were several rounds of review — but Khun Kritsana was patient throughout and I am glad we took the time. The final file was comprehensive and accurate. The price was exactly as quoted at the start.

CASE STUDY 01 · PARENTAL ARRANGEMENT
Two parents wanting to agree, but not knowing where to begin
CHALLENGE
A Thai mother and British father living separately in Bangkok had broad agreement on arrangements for their young daughter but could not pin down the practical specifics. School holidays, medical decisions, and the possibility of one parent relocating within Thailand were all unresolved.
APPROACH
We met with both parents jointly for an initial session. Each parent described their current involvement and their priorities. We explained the legal framework around parental responsibility under Thai law and offered several standard models for contact arrangements as a starting framework.
OUTCOME
Within two sessions the parents had reached a detailed written agreement on day-to-day arrangements, school holidays, and the process for making medical decisions jointly. No court involvement was required. Both parents had a signed copy of the agreement within six weeks of first contact.
"Having a written document at the end of the first meeting gave both of us something to anchor further conversations to. It stopped things sliding back into vagueness." — Parent A
CASE STUDY 02 · DOCUMENTATION SUPPORT
Preparing a file that accurately reflected a father's involvement
CHALLENGE
A father whose work had previously required frequent travel was concerned that his pattern of involvement with his children would be misrepresented in a formal custody process. He wanted a documentary file that accurately captured his role, not simply the hours he was physically present.
APPROACH
We worked with the father to compile a record of his involvement — school communications, medical appointment records, video call logs during travel periods, and statements from the children's school. We drafted a personal statement in his voice, which he reviewed and revised across three rounds before approving it.
OUTCOME
The documentary file presented a clear, substantiated picture of the father's involvement. The process took approximately four weeks. The father described the result as the first time he felt his role had been captured accurately and in a form he was comfortable presenting.
"I was able to read and adjust every word before it went anywhere. The final statement felt like it actually described my relationship with my children." — Father
